I realise most people will be reading this post thinking ‘wait, didn’t you get home ages ago?!’ Technically yes: I got home almost two weeks ago. I guess I’ve just been putting off writing this post for a while.
Year Abroad / Madrid in 48 hours
Hey lovely people!
Last week saw me embark on my last proper trip of my year abroad, spending the weekend with my friend Celia in Madrid. Celia and I met during my second year of university when she was an Erasmus student at Birmingham, and we’ve been trying to work out time to see each other all year. After missing each other the weekend she visited Zaragoza (which just so happened to be my weekend in Milan), we finally managed it. I took an early coach to the capital and there I was.
Year Abroad / Reunions and new places
So in the space of a week or so, I was able to reunite with two of my favourite people. Firstly, a long bank holiday weekend away in Milan to visit my best friend Harriet, before a visit from the wonderful Verity – she travelled 7 hours by car to get to Zaragoza! That’s what I call dedication. Since it’s been such a packed week or so, I thought I’d give you the lowdown on the blog, as is the norm by now.
2017 / March and April Round Up
If you’ve read my latest year abroad post, you’ll know that the last couple of months have been really busy what with university and visits and Easter. Due to this, I had no time for last month’s roundup, but here’s a double whammy of March and April for you.
Year Abroad / An overdue update
Hola chiquitos! Since my last post a lot of things have happened. Jack visited Zaragoza, I went home for Easter, spent a considerable amount of time at the doctors’ and in airports, and last week I returned to Spain for my final ten weeks here. It’s amazing how quickly the last (almost) 8 months have passed – it’s not long until I do my next and final lot of exams and leave for good! I’m just as surprised, as I imagine some of you are reading this, that I’ve got to this point and am still here, so pat on the back for me.
Year Abroad / The 6 month mark
It’s been over 6 months now since I hopped on that plane to Zaragoza and in some respects I honestly can’t believe how quickly the time has gone! I’m almost halfway through my second semester here, Jack is visiting next week and I’m going home for Easter the week after. Perhaps time really does fly when you’re having fun…
Year Abroad / Guess who’s back?
Hola todos! As you may have guessed from the title, I’m now officially back in Spain. I didn’t blog over the Christmas period, not for lack of want but simply because I had no time at all. I spent a packed three weeks with my family, my grandparents, my boyfriend and some of my friends in England and if I’m totally honest, I’m sad it passed so quickly. They say time flies when you’re having fun, eh?
Year Abroad / Boyfriend in Barcelona
If you hadn’t guessed from the very straightforward title, I spent a few days in Barcelona with my boyfriend last week. I’d not seen Jack for two months since my surprise trip home back in October, so a reunion was definitely needed! With yet another Spanish holiday came the perfect opportunity for a holiday of our own, which coincided nicely with Jack’s birthday this week, so it was an early birthday present for him too.
