Back in February 2014, Yannis Philippakis attempted his usual jump from the balcony at Birmingham’s O2 Academy during Foals‘ headline tour, only to be restrained by security. Flash forward two years later, and he finally achieved his stage-jumping dream in Birmingham, only this time in a much large setting: the Barclaycard Arena.

Playlist / Eat, Sleep, Read, Repeat

Need a break from all that revision and essay stress? Can’t sleep? Well… I must have a playlist for everything, whether it’s for walking to university, getting the perfect songs together to help me through an essay and even when I’m relaxing and trying to sleep. This playlist is one I’ve compiled with some gorgeously comforting songs to listen to when you want to wind down and eventually drift off to. I’ve embedded my Spotify playlist below and also written a bit about some of my favourites on the list too…

Live Review / Peace @ The Library, Institute (24.01.15)

There’s nothing better than a band playing their hometown, especially a small and intimate venue such as the Institute’s Library. This was the second of two dates in Birmingham for Peace, preceding the release of their second studio album Happy People.  Another local band, Juice, certainly warmed the crowd up with several mosh pit-inducing songs before Harry Koisser and co. burst onto stage.
