Hola, my lovelies.
Last weekend myself and my chiquis went for a trip to San Sebastián, a town in the Basque Country in the north of Spain. For me, this trip was definitely something to look forward to, mainly as after 8 months living in Spain, I was finally going to the beach! I know, I don’t know how I’ve managed it either. We all took the train on Friday morning from Delicias, checking into our hostel a cheeky 6 minutes walk from the station, before going off to explore in search of the sights and food. We were told before we went that San Seb was famous for its tapas, and they were not wrong in the slightest; it was incredible.

So in the space of a week or so, I was able to reunite with two of my favourite people. Firstly, a long bank holiday weekend away in Milan to visit my best friend Harriet, before a visit from the wonderful Verity – she travelled 7 hours by car to get to Zaragoza! That’s what I call dedication. Since it’s been such a packed week or so, I thought I’d give you the lowdown on the blog, as is the norm by now.

It has been four years since I last sat a January exam, so of course, the last few weeks have been a bit of a shock to the system. I’ve become accustomed to forgetting everything in my first semester modules and revising like mad in April and May, so revising over Christmas was a very odd experience. My first semester in Spanish university doesn’t technically finish until 7th February, with new classes for the second semester starting the day after at the lovely time of 8:30am. I am exhausted thinking about it already.

Hola todos! As you may have guessed from the title, I’m now officially back in Spain. I didn’t blog over the Christmas period, not for lack of want but simply because I had no time at all. I spent a packed three weeks with my family, my grandparents, my boyfriend and some of my friends in England and if I’m totally honest, I’m sad it passed so quickly. They say time flies when you’re having fun, eh?

If you hadn’t guessed from the very straightforward title, I spent a few days in Barcelona with my boyfriend last week. I’d not seen Jack for two months since my surprise trip home back in October, so a reunion was definitely needed! With yet another Spanish holiday came the perfect opportunity for a holiday of our own, which coincided nicely with Jack’s birthday this week, so it was an early birthday present for him too.

Hola cariños! The last couple of weekends have been busy for me here in España. It’s been a few months since I saw most of my course friends; I haven’t seen some of them since May! We’ve all been out here or in various other countries since September so it was definitely time for a reunion. As many of us as possible who had the time and money all headed to Sevilla in Andalusia (the south of Spain for those unfamiliar with Spanish geography) and it was absolutely lovely.

Guess who’s back again with another year abroad post? Yep, you guessed it. It’s been over two months since I moved to Spain now and quite honestly, it has felt more like two years. I went home last month for a couple of days and for a while, I was absolutely fine, seeing friends, going out for drinks and celebrating the Pilares. However, with bad news of my uncle came anxiety, dread and a hell of a lot of emotion. To put it simply: I have been extremely homesick.
