Hey lovely people!
Last week saw me embark on my last proper trip of my year abroad, spending the weekend with my friend Celia in Madrid. Celia and I met during my second year of university when she was an Erasmus student at Birmingham, and we’ve been trying to work out time to see each other all year. After missing each other the weekend she visited Zaragoza (which just so happened to be my weekend in Milan), we finally managed it. I took an early coach to the capital and there I was.

Hola, my lovelies.
Last weekend myself and my chiquis went for a trip to San Sebastián, a town in the Basque Country in the north of Spain. For me, this trip was definitely something to look forward to, mainly as after 8 months living in Spain, I was finally going to the beach! I know, I don’t know how I’ve managed it either. We all took the train on Friday morning from Delicias, checking into our hostel a cheeky 6 minutes walk from the station, before going off to explore in search of the sights and food. We were told before we went that San Seb was famous for its tapas, and they were not wrong in the slightest; it was incredible.

So in the space of a week or so, I was able to reunite with two of my favourite people. Firstly, a long bank holiday weekend away in Milan to visit my best friend Harriet, before a visit from the wonderful Verity – she travelled 7 hours by car to get to Zaragoza! That’s what I call dedication. Since it’s been such a packed week or so, I thought I’d give you the lowdown on the blog, as is the norm by now.

If you hadn’t guessed from the very straightforward title, I spent a few days in Barcelona with my boyfriend last week. I’d not seen Jack for two months since my surprise trip home back in October, so a reunion was definitely needed! With yet another Spanish holiday came the perfect opportunity for a holiday of our own, which coincided nicely with Jack’s birthday this week, so it was an early birthday present for him too.

Hola cariños! The last couple of weekends have been busy for me here in España. It’s been a few months since I saw most of my course friends; I haven’t seen some of them since May! We’ve all been out here or in various other countries since September so it was definitely time for a reunion. As many of us as possible who had the time and money all headed to Sevilla in Andalusia (the south of Spain for those unfamiliar with Spanish geography) and it was absolutely lovely.

Now I’m in my second year of university, it is getting much closer to the time where I’ll pack my bags and move to Spain to study there for a year. So naturally, when myself and my friend Siân wanted to go on a trip last year, where better to explore than the Spanish capital? Madrid was calling.

For those of you who follow me on Twitter and Instagram, you’ll have seen a barrage of posts from my week in Barcelona. Although set up by my university, essentially it was a week of studying, walking around for hours, getting lost on the metro and drinking cocktails and sangria until we could barely stand.
